THE PERFECT RESUMÉ BALANCE

A well-written resumé can knock down doors and get candidates an interview invite. Always remember to stay on topic and make sure a resumé is relevant to the position being applied. Don’t force a hiring manager to sift through to try and find your qualifications you will forfeit that opportunity.

Taking out a chunk of vital information, may cause an employer to become alarmed, if there are gaps in employment, hiring managers will want to know what happened so be prepared to talk about it in your interview.

Also, for short term employment that is essential to the position consider creating another heading title ‘Additional Experience’ in the resumé and include those vital skills and experience.

Keep your personal life personal as it has no place in your resumé. All an employer wants to know is, are you qualified to do the job.
