When sending a resume via web to a company or job search website, always send in a .pdf. The reason, if the document is sent in .doc, it can compromise the design of the resume making a resume hard to read and ruining the chance to be seen.
Also, in the resume title heading, always tailor your title to match the target position each time your resume is submitted.
Never forget to be mindful of employers or recruiters time by sending both resume and cover letter in one attached file. Employers and recruiters find it much easier to open one file as opposed to many files when there are hundreds of resumes waiting to be seen.
Always stay updated on resume tips and trends.
